(Individuals, Society and culture)
Stated Objective(s)	The student will become familiar with Spanish explorers, their reasons for coming and the impact they had on our way of life.
Procedures for Lesson	Present vocab. Students will look up definitions using their text book, or www.sfsocialstudies.com Wk. review 7 vocab words Rd. 146-151 Discussion of reading I will model the program, www.biography.com The students will work in groups of 3 using www.Biography.com , text books, & encyclopedias to look up information about 1 of the 5 explorers discussed. The students will complete the worksheet for finding information and include sources. Pictures can be found at http://www.pics4learning.com The students will discuss their information with their group and create a poster that displays their information. Each group will present their posters to the class. After presentions & discussions I will fill out a rubric as well as having the students fill out one on their group. The students will then go to our school moodle site and find the post it link (http://en.linoit.com) and post notes on what they learned from each presentation.
